The conditions that apply to this website, and how to treat the technical specifications published on it.
These terms apply to your use of this website. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site. They do not replace the terms of any quotation, order or contract between us, which are agreed separately and take precedence over anything on this page.

Technical information and equipment ratings
This is the part of these terms that matters most, so it comes first.
This site publishes technical parameters for medium voltage equipment: voltage classes, continuous and short circuit current ratings, withstand levels, operating sequences and similar figures. These are reproduced from manufacturer documentation and given as general product information.
They are not a design document. Ratings vary between production batches, revisions and individual orders, and the correct specification for any installation depends on the network it is going into. Nothing on this site should be used on its own to size equipment, set protection, design a scheme or make a safety decision.
Equipment specifications are confirmed in writing per order. If a figure on this site matters to your decision, ask us to confirm it against the current documentation for the unit you are actually buying, and have the design signed off by a competent engineer.
Accuracy of the site
We take reasonable care to keep the content current and correct, but we do not warrant that it is complete, accurate or up to date. Product ranges, specifications, availability and lead times change. Documentation published for download is the version we held at the time it was published.
Quotations and orders
Nothing on this site is an offer to sell. Prices are not published here, and any indication of availability is not a commitment to supply. A binding agreement arises only when we issue a written quotation and you accept it, subject to the terms of that quotation.
Intellectual property
The text, layout, photographs, graphics and code on this site belong to us or are used with permission. You may view, download and print pages for your own reference or to evaluate our products and services. You may not republish, sell or systematically copy the content without our written permission.
Magvatech and other manufacturer names, product names and logos are the trademarks of their respective owners. We use them to identify the equipment we distribute and support, and that use does not imply any endorsement beyond our stated distributor relationship.
Links to other sites
Where we link to a manufacturer, supplier or other third party we do so for convenience. We do not control those sites and we are not responsible for their content, their accuracy or what they do with your information.
Availability of the site
We do not guarantee that the site will be available without interruption. It may be unavailable during maintenance, or because of a fault at our hosting provider or elsewhere on the network. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it without notice.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this site or your reliance on anything published on it, including indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit and loss of data.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 where it applies to you.

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa, and the South African courts have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

We may revise these terms. The version published here at the time you use the site is the one that applies, and the date at the top shows when it last changed.
