Reviewing how equipment has actually behaved, rather than assuming it has been sitting idle.
A recloser that has operated four hundred times in two years is telling you something about the feeder it protects. A performance assessment reads that record and turns it into information you can act on.
This is the difference between maintenance that responds to failures and maintenance that anticipates them.

Operating count against rating
The reclosers we supply are rated for 30 000 CO cycles. Knowing how many have been used tells you where the equipment is in its life.

Patterns point to causes
Repeated operations at a similar time or in similar weather usually indicate a physical cause on the feeder that can be found and fixed.

Protection performance
Whether the device has been operating for genuine faults or nuisance-tripping is a settings question the records can answer.

Informs the maintenance interval
A device operating constantly warrants more frequent inspection than one that has never tripped.
