SF6-Free Switchgear
Medium voltage switchgear with no SF6 gas anywhere in the panel, so there is nothing to monitor for leaks and nothing to recover at end of life. Air-insulated, maintenance free, with embedded fast arc protection.
The SGF/MVT range is air-insulated switchgear that contains no SF6 gas at all. For a utility or plant operator that removes a whole category of obligation: no gas pressure monitoring, no leak reporting, no handling procedure, and no end-of-life gas recovery.
SF6 has a global warming potential roughly 23 000 times that of CO2, and its use in new electrical equipment is being restricted in a growing number of markets. Choosing an SF6-free panel now avoids a retrofit decision later.
Magvatech describe the SGF/MVT as the most compact and endurant SF6-free switchgear in the world. It is maintenance free, has embedded fast arc protection, and remote control is available.

Ratings from the Magvatech SGF/MVT technical booklet (EN 3.2). Both panels are rated 50/60 Hz, IP4X, operate from −45°C to +40°C at up to 95% humidity, and use a monostable magnetic actuator with an 85 to 265 V AC/DC supply. Disconnector switch endurance is 2000 earthed-isolated-engaged cycles.
