Voltage Transformers
Outdoor voltage transformers for metering and protection on 11kV, 22kV and 33kV networks, commonly supplied alongside recloser installations.
A voltage transformer steps network voltage down to a standard secondary level so metering and protection equipment can measure it safely. On a recloser installation it does two jobs at once: it gives the controller its voltage reference, and it supplies the control cabinet itself.
The VTOP series is built for outdoor pole and structure mounting on 11kV, 22kV and 33kV networks. The cast resin body is rated for heavy pollution, which is what coastal and industrial lines in South Africa actually need.
Specifications are confirmed per order. Burden, accuracy class and voltage factor all depend on what the secondary is feeding, so tell us the application and we will confirm the unit.
