Services

Installation, testing and commissioning, and ongoing maintenance for auto recloser and switchgear systems on medium-voltage distribution networks.

Supplying equipment is the easy part. What decides whether a recloser or a switchgear lineup actually does its job for the next twenty years is how it was installed, whether it was properly tested before it went live, and whether anyone looks after it afterwards.

We do all three. The same team that supplies the equipment installs it, commissions it and supports it, so responsibility never gets split between a supplier who blames the contractor and a contractor who blames the supplier.

How a typical project runs

Most recloser and switchgear projects follow the same path from first call to handover.

  1. Enquiry and specification

You tell us the network voltage, what the equipment needs to do and any site constraints. We confirm the right model and quote it.

  2. Supply

Equipment is supplied from our Midrand base, with the voltage transformers, arresters or ancillaries the installation needs.

  3. Installation

Pole mounting or panel positioning, wiring and termination, control cabling, communications and earthing, integrated into the existing network.

  4. Testing and commissioning

Pre-commissioning inspection, secondary injection testing, relay configuration and functional testing, verified against the protection scheme.

  5. Handover

You receive a commissioning report covering what was tested, the settings applied and the results.

  6. Ongoing support

Routine inspection, configuration updates, spares and breakdown support for as long as the equipment is in service.
